Privacy Policy

Data Storage

All pool configuration, test readings, chemical logs, and forecast data are stored locally on your device. We do not operate user accounts or cloud sync. Your data never leaves your device unless you use one of the third-party integrations described below.

Third-Party Integrations

PoolMath — If you provide a PoolMath share code, the app fetches your public share page from poolmathapp.com to import test readings and chemical logs. Only the share code you enter is sent. No credentials are transmitted.

Open-Meteo — The app sends your pool's latitude and longitude to the Open-Meteo API to retrieve weather forecasts. No personal information is included in these requests. Open-Meteo is a free, open-source weather API that does not require an API key.

Nominatim (OpenStreetMap) — During pool setup, the app sends your address search text to the Nominatim geocoding API (nominatim.openstreetmap.org) to look up coordinates. No account or personal information is included in these requests.

Leslie's — If you connect your Leslie's account, the app stores your credentials in the device's secure keychain and uses them to fetch water test results. Your email address and password are sent to lesliespool.com to sign in, and your email address and customer id are sent to api.lesl.cloud (Leslie's own service) to retrieve your pool profiles and water test history. Credentials are never stored in plaintext, and are never sent to any server outside those two.

Home Assistant — If you connect Home Assistant, the app stores your access token in the device's secure keychain and sends it only to the Home Assistant URL you configure. That is normally a server on your own network, so no third party is involved.

Hayward OmniLogic — If you connect an OmniLogic system, the app stores your credentials in the secure keychain and sends your email address and password to www.haywardomnilogic.com to sign in, then sends your system id and any equipment commands you make to the same service.

Jandy iAquaLink — If you connect a Jandy system, the app stores your credentials in the secure keychain and sends your email address and password to prod.zodiac-io.com to sign in, then sends the resulting access tokens, your device id and any equipment commands to prod.zodiac-io.com and r-api.iaqualink.net.

Pentair IntelliCenter — The app connects directly to your IntelliCenter panel over your local network using the IP address you enter. No credentials and no pool data are sent to Pentair or to any other server.

Pentair ScreenLogic — The app connects directly to your ScreenLogic gateway over your local network where possible. If you use the remote-access option, your system name is sent to screenlogicserver.pentair.com to look up your gateway address. No password is transmitted.

Retail Links — The Inventory screen may display links to Amazon, InTheSwim, PoolSupplyWorld, and Leslie's for purchasing pool chemicals. Tapping these links opens the respective retailer's website in your browser. Amazon links may include an affiliate tag through which PoolDrift may earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you. PoolDrift does not transmit any personal information to these retailers.

Analytics & Tracking

PoolDrift uses Sentry for crash and error reporting to improve app stability. In production builds, Sentry may collect stack traces, error context, and basic device information (OS version, device model). This data is not linked to your identity and is not used for advertising. PoolDrift does not include advertising frameworks or tracking pixels. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.

Subscriptions

In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Payment and billing data is handled entirely by Apple or Google — PoolDrift does not receive or store your credit card numbers or billing details. PoolDrift uses RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives the purchase receipt issued by Apple or Google and an anonymous identifier generated for your installation; it does not receive your name, email address or payment details.

Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally, uninstalling the app removes all your data. If push notifications are enabled in a future version, you can delete your server-side data by disabling notifications in settings or by contacting us.

Children's Privacy

PoolDrift is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the app with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
